For example, Schoeller is regarded as a pioneer in the area of elastic fabrics for skiwear (from today’s perspective the original soft-shells), which triggered an enormous trend in the area of outdoor sportswear. The initial development of protective fabrics also originated at Schoeller, with high-tensile aramid fibres being used in the textile area.
